Hey, there!
My name is Gabriel Costa; I'm 31, I'm right-handed and I'm not very good with introductions. I'm a software engineer with over 9 years of experience, I'm crazy curious, and I really like designing data-intensive applications (wink) and the fun challenges that come with scale.
I used coding and algorithms to create this blog: it's built with Remix + Tailwind and hosted on Cloudflare Pages; there's a bunch of other stuff in the mix too, but I'll get into the nitty-gritty in a post soon enough.
I'm most proficient with Python and JS/TS, but I've been really enjoying Rust, Go and Elixir lately, so I've been favoring them for most of my personal projects. There'll be a section here to talk more about the tech I like soon enough; in the meantime, the carousel to your right has some of my favorite things in the world.
On my spare time, I play the guitar, work on some side projects, and on weekdays I religiously lose copious amounts of money by trading options and futures on the stock market. I have fun doing it, so it's fine. I have fun doing it, so it's fine. I have fun doing it, so it's fine.
Thank you for taking the time to read through my very own Garbage Collection. If you're unsure of where to go next, click here to go to a "random" post.
